RIUS - Universal Modular Spectroscopy

The RIUS Modular Spectroscopy Workstation is an advanced spectrometer developed by RI Group. This versatile spectrometer is designed to handle multi-parameter spectroscopic measurements, offering users the ability to measure absorbance, transmittance, reflectance, irradiance, fluorescence, and more. All from one modular system. This flexibility makes it a powerful tool for material science, medical sciences, food safety, environmental monitoring, and more.

With its 3648-pixel CCD linear array detector, the RIUS Workstation delivers high-resolution measurements up to 0.03 nm (FWHM), ensuring precise and accurate spectral analysis. The system’s modular design allows for easy customization, and users can integrate optional light sources, including LEDs or lasers, depending on their specific requirements. The RIUS Workstation is ideal for labs and industries requiring versatile and high-performance spectroscopic analysis.

Light Source Options

The RIUS Workstation offers multiple light source options for different spectroscopic measurements. The light sources include:

RIUS Diode Laser (RI-460-DL)

The RIUS Diode Laser (RI-460-DL) is an advanced high-stability diode laser designed for a variety of scientific applications. It is ideal for fluorescence excitationspectral analysis, and particle image velocimetry (PIV), providing a high level of output power stability over its operational lifetime. This diode laser operates at a central wavelength of 460 nm and delivers output power ranging from 5 mW to 80 mW. It is engineered for applications requiring high wavelength accuracy and long-term stability, making it perfect for fluorescence spectroscopyscientific imaging, and other optical analysis.

The RIUS Diode Laser is a compactair-cooled system that operates without the need for water cooling or external chillers, simplifying setup and maintenance. With a lifetime of over 10,000 hours and minimal power drift, the RIUS Diode Laser ensures consistent performance for a wide range of experimental setups.

RIUS LED Light Source

The RIUS LED Light Source is a high-performance, compact, and energy-efficient light source designed for spectroscopic and fluorescence excitation applications. This light source is capable of emitting a broad range of wavelengths, from ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared (NIR), making it versatile for a variety of laboratory and analytical applications. It provides high coupling efficiency and is ideal for use in fluorescence microscopyspectroscopy, and other analytical instrumentation.

The RIUS LED Light Source is equipped with a high-power LED chip, ensuring long operational life and consistent performance. The compact design and SMA905 interface allow for seamless integration into existing experimental setups, while the low heat dissipation ensures minimal interference with sensitive instruments.

 

RIUS Balanced Deuterium Halogen (RIDH2000)

The RIUS Balanced Deuterium Halogen (RIDH2000) is a composite light source designed for high-performance laboratory applications. Integrating both deuterium and tungsten-halogen lamps, it provides a continuous broadband light spectrum from 190 nm to 2500 nm, covering both the UV and visible light regions. This versatility makes it an essential tool for a variety of analytical techniques such as liquid chromatographyUV spectroscopy, and other spectroscopic analyses.

This light source is built to last with high power output and a long lifetime, making it a reliable choice for demanding laboratory environments. The RIDH2000 integrates seamlessly with existing spectroscopic setups, offering a highly stable and consistent light output for accurate analysis.

Spectral data can be saved in .txt format and processed using third-party software like Origin and Excel.
  • Advanced Optical System: The optical system includes the following components: Incident slit, Collimating mirror, Grating dispersion element, Focusing optical system, Detector, The light is collected through the optical fiber and directed to the spectrometer slit, where spectral data is gathered for analysis.
